Capcom: Expect an announcement that will excite you at Capcom Day

Posted by Aaron on Sunday, March 25, 2007

Sr. Director of Strategic Planning & Research Christian Svensson from Capcom has been posting away on the Official Capcom Forums. A member of the forum asked when the date was for Capcom Day and Christian Svensson posted and said it would be on April 12th and another member asked if there will be any RE5 and RE:UC news at Capcom Day and here is what Christian Svensson “Sven” had to say:

You may be slightly pleased and slightly disappointed then. I also suspect something not within either one of those parameters to be announced that will excite you though.

Capcom Speaks About DMC4 going Multiplatform

Posted by Aaron on Sunday, March 25, 2007

Christian Svensson Sr. Director of Strategic Planning & Research of Capcom has posted on Capcom’s Official Forums about Devil May Cry 4 going multiplatform. Here is what he had to say:

We are certainly moved that people are so passionate about our products that they would go to such extremes. At the same time we feel that allowing more people access to our content pleases far more people than it displeases (after all, we’re not denying DMC4 to anyone that was already going to get it). It really is the best decision for the company and for consumers.

Mysterious God Of War Countdown Site

Sony has apparently found yet another way to plug it’s uber popular God of War series, this time in the form of a mysterious website featuring a countdown clock and a picture of Kratos looming in the distance. No one is really sure what this is all about, but IGN confirmed earlier this week that it absolutely does not have anything to do with the PSP version of the game. IGN’s query to Sony was met with an answer as puzzling as the website itself.

“The website is for true God of War fans…Think of the original God of War”.

Interesting what do you all think it is counting down too? God of War PS3 announcement? God of War movie announcement?

New details on Killzone PS3

Posted by Aaron on Sunday, March 25, 2007

PS3updates.com has posted some new info. on Killzone PS3. Here is a sample:

The developers mentioned that it was easier to develop the game on the PS3 since they had more computing power to play with unlike the limited power the PS2 provided. They went so far as to say that if they could imagine it, they could implement it. So what have the developers been imagining and implementing?

One of the new features they added involves the improvement of the physics engine. No longer will a tank be stopped by a wooden fence, it would simply keep rolling on. In addition to this, lighting and shadowing have been improved to cinema-like quality, making the game prettier than its previous incarnations. Finally, they have also announced that practically the entire world would be destructible. No specifics on this have been given, but we hope that walls can be leveled by using a tank.
